Sunday is my day of rest. I usually dabble a little on the computer if I feel up to it, and maybe finish one or two items on my "to do" list... but for the most part, Sunday is a day for me. I am way behind on my site update and am too pooped to care today.
My day went a little something like this.... wake up, check emails, take a shower, go to breakfast with Josh (jalapeno bagel with cream cheese and a decaf soy latte from Starbucks), come home, work on a few to do list items, play outside with Hannah in the sun, take a few pictures with my new lens for the shop (and for this post), weed the garden, plant some bulbs (my first attempt at this, and I know I am a little late for my "climate zone"...), call and invite my sister and her hubby over for dinner, play on the computer some more.... eat some oreos... (and now here I am). :) It's 3:30 and I still have a few hours of sunlight left.
It's been a pretty boring day so far, but I am loving being able to relax and unwind. Although I am really sore from all the squatting in the garden (that's how out of shape I am)....lol... pathetic, isn't it?
I'm dying to get out and do some shopping, I am wanting to change my house a little for the new season.... but money is tight and with Josh's birthday next week, I have to save all my pennies for his birthday dinner. (He wants to go to a French restaurant near us called "French 75"). I haven't been before, so I'm looking forward to it. I did try escargot when I was in Paris on my honeymoon, and it was actually amazingly good (It was an appetizer they served cold with crackers and a spring mix with dressing of some sort...very fresh and light tasting. You really didn't notice the snail texture when it was prepared and eaten this way). I don't know if I would have been brave enough if it was just the snail on it's own. Although I do like oysters, and I do chew them when I eat them, so maybe I would??? I also tried frog legs when I was in jr. high school. I was in the "French Club" and we went on a field trip to a French restaurant in Costa Mesa (yes, I was a nerd then too).
I will be sure to report on the restaurant next week after we go. I am looking forward to trying something new. I hope they have chocolate souffle for dessert (that has been my favorite dessert lately, and I haven't had it in awhile.)
I trust your Sunday is as lazy and uneventful as mine. Enjoy the day and put your "to do" lists on hold until tomorrow!

I love this pattern. It reminds me of some tiole fabric I have. Very Pretty.
I look forward to visiting to see your wonderful pictures in the new year.
Have a great week!

I guess you could say I "rested". I've spent the entire day in blogland...and loved every minute of it. I try and take one day out of the week to blog and today was that day.
Sounds like your day was actually pretty full, you kept yourself quite busy. All fun stuff though. Have a great night.

Hi,
I love your blog, and have visited quite often. I adore the way you have decorated your home. I love the colors, the textures, the whole style. I was wondering where you find the prints that you have on many of your walls? I love all the botanicals. I am hoping it is somewhere local, as I live in Rossmoor, right near Seal Beach. We are not too far from Tustin. I have been searching for some great prints to use in my house. If you have any sources you can share I would so appreciate it! Thanks so much!

Hopefully a little shopping, some new lip gloss and a burger made your day a little more eventful :) Can't wait for chick flicks and flea markets next weekend! :)

Yes, our Sunday was very lazy. The farmer never even got out of his pajamas! I love the photos, you didn't mention the details about your new lens. Please? I'm a photographer and impressed with the macro of the plate. Also....love the photobooth pics. My favorite genre. I'd love to have a photobooth in my house.
