I wanted to share a few pictures of my home office. I know some of these photos have already been seen in the Dovetales article, but I have added a few more recent pictures into the mix.
The space has really come a long way from the blank space we started with. I am loving the bits of orange and red around the space, it seems to really warm things up nicely. And I love having a way to display and use all the wire baskets I collect (some vintage and some new). I also traded out the black and white numbers above my desk for a chalkboard and two oil paintings I purchased from Heather. They tie in with the antique sewing desk (in the middle of the room) so perfectly.
The old door I purchased at the Long Beach flea market blends right in with the autumn inspired color pallet. (It's a yellowy-cream). It's funny because I don't think I would ever set out to purchase "orange" home decor, but somehow I acquired quite a few pieces over the years that all seem to play well together. The orange stool you see with the polka dot bobbins, I actually purchased five or so years ago at our first house. It was a flea market find and there were actually two matching stools, and I constantly beat myself up for only buying one of them. (When I went back to buy the second one, it had already sold).
I hope you enjoyed my little tour. It's a fun space that keeps me inspired; and inspiration is a must in a home office.

Your office is LOVELY! What an inspiration for someone like me who also loves to collect the same sorts of things. I have never been into wire baskets, but your collection is truly inspiring. And I agree with you on the orange. It's a colour I seem to be acquiring a taste for also. And it looks lovely with the creams and whites and blues and greens I seem to use so much.
P.S. Love the new hair too! Very very pretty and great self-pics!
