I wanted to share a few pictures of my home office. I know some of these photos have already been seen in the Dovetales article, but I have added a few more recent pictures into the mix.
The space has really come a long way from the blank space we started with. I am loving the bits of orange and red around the space, it seems to really warm things up nicely. And I love having a way to display and use all the wire baskets I collect (some vintage and some new). I also traded out the black and white numbers above my desk for a chalkboard and two oil paintings I purchased from Heather. They tie in with the antique sewing desk (in the middle of the room) so perfectly.
The old door I purchased at the Long Beach flea market blends right in with the autumn inspired color pallet. (It's a yellowy-cream). It's funny because I don't think I would ever set out to purchase "orange" home decor, but somehow I acquired quite a few pieces over the years that all seem to play well together. The orange stool you see with the polka dot bobbins, I actually purchased five or so years ago at our first house. It was a flea market find and there were actually two matching stools, and I constantly beat myself up for only buying one of them. (When I went back to buy the second one, it had already sold).
I hope you enjoyed my little tour. It's a fun space that keeps me inspired; and inspiration is a must in a home office.

Wow - so beautiful. I am inspired just looking at it!! :)

it is so clean and organized, there is nothing on the floor (unlike my office) how do you do it?

Please tell me that your office is only clean because you're taking photos;P I just can't believe that your space is always this tidy with all of the creative work that you do. Regardless it's inspiring and beautiful. I'll try to clean my studio once more.
I love, love, LOVE the postcard holder--I need one of those!! I love the idea of being able to display my beautiful postcards. Great idea!!

I'm salivating here. Your space is gorgeous! I'm a fellow lover of wire baskets. Anything metal, really. I'm getting ready to launch the re-do of my own home office (in the 100 year-old farmhouse we moved into a year ago) and your pics were so inspiring! Thanks for sharing.

Love your office Sadie, I love how organized it is. That door looks great in there. I wanted to ask you a question about something I saw in your kitchen. I really like your paper towel holder, do you sell that? If not could you tell me where I could get something like it. Thanks
