The Pannells

In addition to doing Morgan's Christmas photos, I also took some for my sister Denise. These are a few from that session that I wanted to share:

Pannell 058
My niece Makenzie.

Pannell 073
My niece Hailey.

Pannell 086
My nephew, Brandon.

Pannell 278

Pannell 243
The girls with their Dad.

Pannell 296
Denise and Mike.

I think my sisters are my best photography customers (or least the most frequent!). But I don't mind the practice, and I love when they are pleased with the photos; it always makes me feel good.

The Liti Family

My sister Morgan helped me take some family photos this year of Josh and I for our Christmas cards, and in return I snapped a few of her and her husband Mike, and their baby, Lani. :) I'll share my pictures with you in a day or two, but today I wanted to share a few of the Liti's.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hannahsniff

Josh and I are hosting Thanksgiving again this year. He will be barbecuing his famous turkey and the rest of the family will be bringing the side dishes. It makes things so much easier that way for all of us!

I will be spending the day with my family and loved ones and Hannah will be showering them all with welcoming kisses. (That is Hannah and I in the photo up there). I hope each and every one of you have a happy holiday with your own friends and family! Happy Turkey Day to YOU!

Woodland Bride

I have seen more and more photographers doing "trash the dress" sessions with their clients lately and I have been inspired by many of them! My sister Lindsey volunteered to be my model and "trash" her wedding gown for the sake of some beautiful pictures. Luckily, we didn't ruin it... or anything.

Here are some of the fun images we captured that day:

Don't worry - I didn't make her cry. (It's a fake tear)....lol....

Oh by the way, two more of my sisters have their own blogs now! My sister Morgan and my sister Ginger! If you have time, stop by and say hi and welcome them to the wonderful world of blogging!

Rogers Gardens

A few weeks ago I took my first ever trip to Rogers Garden's. It was as beautiful as I had heard and was full of inspiration and amazement. Luckily I was there when a few of the Halloween goodies were marked down, and I was able to add a few fun new items to my collection. (Pictures to come in a day or two).

I headed back a few days later with my sister and two nieces and snapped a few pictures to share. (Sorry about the glare in some, it was a HOT and very BRIGHT day!)

If you haven't visited this magical place, now is as good a time as any, as all of the Christmas decor is already being set up! You won't be disappointed and you certainly will leave inspired!

Evening Glow

Morgan4_copy

I have been admiring the beautiful photos I have seen on flickr with lens flare and have been determined to get the concept down myself. This was my first practice session trying to achieve that look. My sister Morgan, patiently sat for me while I fiddled with my settings and took a bazillion shots. (She and her husband were actually over for dinner when we noticed the timing was perfect for an impromptu photo shoot). This one was one of our favorites. I threw in a little added texture and vintage color effects to soften the look even more. I just love the finished photo. I still need some more practice, but I think I'm getting there....

A few more....

Just wanted to share a few more from Friday's photo shoot.... there were so many I loved, it's hard to narrow it down!

Portraits of a blue eyed girl...

My niece Hailey, is a looker. She wasn't really into the whole photo shoot until the very end, but when she got the hang of the posing and facial expressions, she was AMAZING! Just look at her pretty blue eyes!

Haileystoryboard2_2

She is always so pretty when she dresses up and trys to look girly. (She is a tom-boy at heart). I was a total tom boy at her age too, so I guess we have that in common. She started the eighth grade today..... I think her mom is in for some big trouble... what do you think?

Practice, practice, practice

I borrowed my nieces and nephew this weekend for a photo-shoot. We captured quite a few fun shots with a ton of different props. I can't wait to share the best ones with all of you to see what you all think! I'm busy editing and picking my favorites. This one has to be one of them.....

Vintagebike

They were such fun to work with and we laughed most of the day. I'm hoping to practice, practice, practice to get my skill level where I would like it to be. I am so inspired by some of the photographers on flickr, I was dying to get some practice with people photography.... I'll be sharing some more over the new few posts, I'm sure.
